One of my favorite parts of preparing for a trip to Ghana is choosing a special gift for the amazing teachers and staff at Shalom School.
Each time I visit, I’m reminded how hard they work and how much love they pour into their students every single day. It’s important to me to show my appreciation in a way that feels thoughtful and personal.
For this trip, I’m especially excited about what I’ll be bringing — beautiful tote bags featuring the Shalom School crest! The design was created by Robert Owusu, who did an incredible job capturing the spirit of the school in a way that’s both meaningful and full of pride.
I can’t wait to hand these out and see their faces light up. It's such a small gesture compared to everything they do, but I hope it reminds them just how valued they are.

For the past 20 years, the pink uniforms at Shalom School have become a symbol of joy, hope, and learning. Many of us will never forget the sight of those bright, familiar uniforms in the photos we've come to cherish over the years. They’ve become a beloved part of Shalom’s identity—a constant presence as the school has grown and changed.
But just as the school has evolved, so too has the time come for a fresh look. And today, we’re thrilled to reveal the new school uniforms!
​The new uniforms mark a new chapter for Shalom—one that reflects the growth of the students, the strength of the community, and the continued commitment to education, dignity, and pride in learning.
While we’ll always hold the pink uniforms close to our hearts, we’re excited to embrace this updated style, and more importantly, what it represents: progress, confidence, and a bright future.
